My fervent prayer and wish for our New Year 2011 ~ Home from Iraq!

My Robert calls me his rose. I pray everyday that the mission in Iraq will be over this year and everyone will be coming home. It is really all he wants. This lovely red and white rose has a beautiful yellow center, the color of all troops returning home safely. Please Lord, this year...2011!!

Iraq War Ends...no nuclear bombs exploded!

Tuesday is the offical end of the Iraq War, thank you God. One less tyrant on earth and hopefully people in that country will learn to live together peacefully. I'm always glad when conflicts end and no BIG BOMBS have exploded. This was the place that the Garden of Eden was and during the time of this war, the DNA of Eve was discovered, placing her at around 200,000 years old. Researchers say she is the only modern woman who still has descendents. I'd love to find out if I'm related.
Peace!

Remembering our Military

I am dedicating my blog to Memorial Day this week. Last century and most of this one, the US has been at war too often. My grandfathers, great-uncles, uncles, father, friends, relatives of friends and boyfriends have been in the military service in one branch or another. Our troops are drawing down now in Iraq...peacekeepers getting ready to exit. We still have our commitment in Afghanistan against al qaida which has an exit date in 2011. Our President has declared diplomacy with defense as our national policy which marks us as a highly civilized nation. We are on the road to peace. May God bless the USA!

More Peace in the world today. Nuclear Security Summit of 47 nations.

We haven't blown ourselves to bits and kingdom come due to the deterrent of the people.
God bless the 47 nations call to peace.
