Coastal Cleanup Day ~ Saturday!

This Saturday is Coastal Clean-up Day in America. Click on the title of this blog to sign up at a beach near you. Way back in 1990 I was part of the beach clean-up on Monterey Bay beaches. There were a handful of people, quite a few kids and an inflatable whale. We each had a large plastic bag and scoured the beaches for garbage. It was astonishing how many cigarette butts were littering the sand, like people thought it was one big ashtray!

Every year this big event gets bigger. It is such a big help for the end of summer cleanup after tourists and locals have used the beaches all summer long. I don't know who thought it up but the group sponsoring my first beach cleanup was Save Our Shores. If you love the seashore, help out this one day to make our beaches more beautiful!

Hi! You may not remember me. You used to read my "Hey Let's Talk"
journal. It's gone now but I've created another one

If people would realize how little time it takes to use trash cans the world would be so much more beautiful. So glad I located your journal again.
Have an awesome day.
