There's a crack in everything...

One of my favorite songwriters and singers, Leonard Cohen, member of the Velvet Underground, turned spiritual a few years ago entering a Buddhist' compound. He is one of those writers that could validate my life when it was crumbling at the edges. Why can't our elected leaders solve some of our big problems? I see our energy problems as not insurmountable and global warming to be eliminated soon with the investiture in hydrogen fuel cells, biofuels, renewable energy like solar and wind. And the honor of protecting lands and wildlife is ours that we should be thankful for. Workers need vacation spots on earth. Our country has some of the most gorgeous places to vacation in and relax and recharge. Can't we lay down our weapons and lead peaceful lives, loving our neighbors as ourselves?
