Today is World Wetlands Day!
Today is World Wetlands Day. The wetlands are wonderful bird estuaries and serve as a water filter where I live between the salty Pacific Ocean waters and the fresh water inland. The Elkhorn Slough in Monterey County is a refuge to the sea otters and other animals and plants. You can take boat safaries through it and get quite close to the natural world of the wetlands.
