The Cold Boil

The Cold Boil
The sea was on fire
In a strange way.
It was boiling and
Seething cold plain by
Its reason
For madness,
The brown foam.

Seabirds are dying off the Pacific Northwest coast like seals and sea lions here on the northern California coast. It's the deadly algae bloom and brown foam that strips the birds' feathered protection and they are exposed to the cold water elements. The algae poisons the sea mammals such as sea otters. Mercury pollution is one of the big toxins that causes the algae bloom and brown foam. We need to stop the mercury leakage into our water whether it is drinking water supplies or the San Francisco Bay or the entire west coast of the USA into the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
