Thanksgiving holidays are upon us. I've done most of my food shopping except for the fresh items such as salad fixings and persimmons. I don't know why but this year I'm trying to add all the seasonal foods and have butternut squash, pomegranetes, and persimmons on my list. I'm trying out persimmon soup, brand new never been on my menu before, ever. It has perked up my interest in cooking this year.
I'm going to be on vacation from this blog for next week. It's not like I am going anywhere or going to take it easy. I should finish my fall housecleaning this weekend, a little grocery shopping as mentioned before and of course the cooking of the feast! But blogwise and websitewise I am going to be researching and maybe writing code for adding advertisers to my blog and website. Never thought I would consider it but now I am actually looking forward to the possibility of making some extra money from the ads. Anyway, that is why I will be disappearing for the next week after I made this pledge to blog more often.
Also my almost 85 year old mother is driving over from Monterey to spend the holiday with me. We are going to be going out to movies and the San Jose Art Museum while she is here plus picking out several must see dvds.
May this year's Thanksgiving season be a blessed and thoughtful one for all who read this blog!
