I got this amaryliss bulb for Christmas. The first stalk had 3 blooms on it with the second stalk shooting up not far behind. It has 4 gorgeous bright Chinese red blooms. I had fun with my Canon Powershot 520. The close-up shows one of the stamen that opens and shoots out pollen. Each bloom does this. The rest of the stamen stay closed. The plant is a head turner and all I did was water it with a baster.
