The End of Summer

The beauty of autumn is beginning to happen here in the Valley. Slight turnings on trees, colors of flowers taking a vibrant final turn in the sun. The temperature varies from cool to warm, cool most mornings and every night now. It is a special time but part of me finds it difficult letting the summer go. Maybe we will have a beautiful Indian summer...stretching the warmth out longer than usual. It is the time of plein air and perfect for painting. A special atmosphere occurrs if only briefly.
